Connecting with your Altar
Each time you sit at your altar is a new opportunity
to see the truth that lies within & around you.
Treat each daily process with open-hearted reverence & curiosity.
Feel free to make it your own.
*Choose spots to place your altar that feel right.
Set up the sacred items inside, on top of, or around the altar.
It may vary each time. (Exercise common sense/caution with flames and use fireproof surfaces only.)
*Safely light the candle or create sacred smoke with the incense, palo santo or sage provided.
*Begin with an intention (sankalpa) for the day’s practice.
*Call in support from your favorite guides, angels, ancestors, deities, etc.
*Chant or play the OPENING MANTRAS below.
*Engage with your personal meditation process: Connect to a long, slow, full breath through the nose and exhale out the mouth. Think about your day ahead. How do you want to show up? How do you want to FEEL? What does your Inner Wise Woman want to tell you right now?
*For a deeper practice- AND to help calm your energy ANYTIME- try Belly Breaths/ BOX BREATHING explained below.
*Talk to your altar- & more importantly, LISTEN. Be patient.
*Chant or play the CLOSING MANTRAS. Extinguish any burning flames.
*Return gently to your day- carrying this energy out into the new reality you helped co-create.
*LISTEN to & REFLECT on the signs that come back.
Trust that your INNER WISE WOMAN has the answers & begin to honor her guidance more fully.
Sacred Items:
To be gentle on the planet, your container was adopted from a vintage shop or estate sale & was smudged & purified under the full moon. The contents were chosen from local woman-owned shops in the US. All 5 elements of Earth (Na), Fire (Ma), Sky (Shi), Water (Va) & Air (Ya) are represented within. Feel free to add or remove sacred items as your spiritual journey progresses.

***Remember, you have the opportunity to replenish your supplies or to revisit your soul’s changing needs at a friends & family rate.
Meditation Mantras
Opening Mantras
The Opening and Closing Mantras
protect & deepen your spiritual practice.
The Guru, Ganesh & Gayatri mantras make up the Opening Mantras
and are sung together.
The Guru Mantra connects us to the energy of the greatest gurus (teachers & spiritual masters).
It protects us from negativity and from when we make mistakes during our practices.
The Ganesh Mantra connects to Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.
It opens our energy channels and clears the path ahead.
The Gayatri Mantra is said to be equivalent to the power of the 4 Vedas.
It is used to remove negative energy blocks and karmas
and helps to purify and charge the soul.
1. Sing, chant or play
The Opening Mantras
BEFORE any meditation practice.
***Proper pronunciation is key
so listen to these mantras and chant along until you have them
perfectly memorized on your own.
“Om Guru Brahm-ha
Guru Vishnuum
Guru Day-vo Maa-haysh-vara-ha
Guru Saak-Shaat Parabrahm-ham
Tas-mayi Sree Guru-vay Na-Namaha”
“Om Suuklaam Bhara-dharam
Vishnuum Seshi-varnam
Chatur-bhujam Prasanna-Vadanam
Dhyai-Yay Sarva Vig-no-pa Shanta-Yay”
“Om Bhuur Bhuva Suu-vaha
Tat Sa-vee-tur Var-ayn-yam
Bhargo Day-vaas-ya Di-Mahi
Dhi-yo-yo Naha Pracho-da-yat
OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI”
2. Belly Breathing/ BOX BREATHING
Your breath is your life force. It is so important to human survival that it is one of the few processes nature programmed in us to happen naturally. Our modern world has taught us a less than optimal way of breathing, however. It is too shallow and too quick- much like this modern life.
It is time for you to fully accept the nourishment air provides so you may step into your full power as a Divine Soul on this planet.
Set an intention for your breath.
Place your hands on your belly to remind you to inhale “into the belly”.
Feel the presence of someone/something you love in your heart center.
Using Box Breathing, imagine drawing a box of safety around them.
Inhale through the nose for 4
Hold for 4
Exhale out the mouth for 4
Hold for 4.
Repeat until your practice feels complete for the moment.
Take a moment to honor yourself.
Closing Mantras
3. Sing, chant or play
The Closing Mantras
to close your meditation practice. Extinguish any burning items afterwards.
“Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu
Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu
Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu
OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI”
Thank you, soul sister, for trusting me with this part of your journey.
